Pastel Galore!
Today i placed a massive online order of nail polishes from the China Glaze brand, as we don't find this brand in France - hmm actually, finding polishes in fancy colors is sort of a challenge, whatever the brand. China Glaze have that new sweet collection "Up and Away", that is full of pastel colors... i totally couldn't resist! (and well i need to confess i did fall for some other colors that weren't from that collection too)
Decided to wait for my order to arrive with some eyecandies matching the colors of those soon-to-be-mine polishes. I hope so hard that the mail doesn't get lost on its way from the US and arrives straight and fast to me!

wow, ça fait un bail que je n'ai pas posté ici! j'ai vraiment manqué de force et de motivation pour faire quoi que ce soit ces derniers temps, mais avec un peu de chance un partie des problèmes qui occupaient mon esprit ont été résolus... et je compte bien sur le retour des beaux jours pour me redonner l'énergie qui me manque!!
Long time no see, sorry! some personal & pro issues sucked up all my energy, but i do count on the Spring arriving to fuel me back and bring again some motivation!
Je viens de passer un excellent week-end de Pâques, j'aiiiime les jours feriés ;)
Samedi soir crémaillère chez un ami, dimanche midi repas en famille (soit 25 personnes à déjeuner chez mes parents, vive les grandes familles!) qui s'est prolongé tard dans l'aprés-midi, et aujourd'hui grass mat' et faineassage au programme! Je pense qu'un petit tour dehors s'impose quand même, il fait un temps tellement magnifique que ce serait trop dommage de ne pas en profiter.
How was your Easter week-end? mine was rad. Housewarming party at a friend's on Saturday night, and Sunday spent in my crazy but lovely family, i'm missing them already! And as today is national holiday in France, i slept on until 11AM and now i'm just indulging my own laziness by doing nothing XD
Pas de review shopping cette semaine, je n'ai pas vraiment eu l'occasion de faire les boutiques ces derniers jours. Mais j'ai quand même, par le plus total des hasards, enfin déniché LE fer à friser que je cherchais depuis des mois!!! je passe un jour vite fait à Lidl entre midi et deux pour acheter de leurs lingettes désinfectantes qui sentent bon le citron à un prix imbattable, j'en profite pour jeter un coup d'oeil dans leurs bacs "bonnes affaires" et là que vois-je??
Un fer à friser céramique, gros diamètre, pour 10€ seulement - alors que jusqu'alors je n'avais réussi à en trouver que des petits diamètre, pour des bouclettes option caniche, et beaucoup plus chers. Inutile de vous dire que j'ai sauté sur l'occas', d'autant plus que c'était le dernier! Depuis je lui laisse à peine le temps de refroidir, il a vraiment la taille parfaite pour faire des coiffures bouclées un peu floues, my dream came true hihihi.
I didn't have time to do shopping this week, but i finally stumbled upon ZE curling iron i've been looking for so much time now! as my hair is quite long and a lot, i need a big curling iron, and so far could find only small sized ones... But i discovered by total chance a big diameter, ceramic one for only 10€ at Lidl (a discount grocery shop, so not really the kind of place i went looking for one). Definitely one of the best bargains i've made recently, the iron is really perfect for the kind of hair styles i want to do.

Nail art inspiration!!
La nature a parfois un peu merdé avec moi à la naissance, mais un point sur lequel je ne peux vraiment pas me plaindre, ce sont mes ongles. Oui je sais, moi aussi j'aurais préféré avoir des ongles minables et ressembler à Eva Mendes par exemple mais bon, à défaut... c'est toujours cool d'avoir de beaux ongles longs et costauds sans rien faire.
Mais arrive quand même un jour où pof, l'accident bête, et y'en a UN et un seul qui casse à ras et qui oblige à tout couper. Bon ben c'est ce qui m'est arrivé jeudi soir, rencontre musclée entre un pack de lait et mon majeur, le pack de lait à gagné... Donc me voilà avec des ongles tout courts, snifouille, pour me consoler je les ai vernis en rouge pompier - je ne supporte cette couleur que sur des ongles méga courts, ça tombe bien.
Mais je me disais que quand même, je m'essaierai bien à du nail art sur de faux ongles pour apporter un peu de fun dans ma life pendant la période de transition. Peut être pas trooop de fun non plus, je sais pas trop comment ils vont apprécier la fantaisie ongulaire à mon boulot en fait...
I'm a lucky girl: my nails are strong, and i can grow them long and beautiful without taking real care of them. But... always happens a point i break one of them, usually in a very stupid way, and then i've got to cut all of them. That sucks, but that's the only option.
Well, i'm at that sad point of my nails' life cycle: on Thursday night i broke one with a pack of milk (when i told you it was always happening in stupid ways...), so after mourning for my beloved nails for a few minutes, i took a pair of scissors, a file, and sacrificed the remaining ones - then painted them bright red, just as a revenge! I love bright red polish, but ONLY on short nails.
So, even though i usually don't wear fake nails, i was thinking that maybe, during that transition period while my nails are no longer short, not yet long, i could have some fun times with cool & crazy nail art. Still wondering about the "crazy" part of my plan however, don't know how they would welcome that wild side of mine at the office...

For some time i have been "collecting" my favorite nail art pix from gyaru blogs i'm following, here are some of them for you to enjoy, and to appreciate the skills of those talented girls!!
Vivi from Cupcake Couture nail arts are original, aesthetic, and with such a polished style, like this simple but dazzling polka-dot design and those amazing black-purple 3D nails!!
I can't read japanese, but according to what i understood, Makalii is a nail artist based in Tokyo. Her blog is full of nail art, start browsing her pix and you'll quickly find yourself totally hooked! My fave are those charming coral tips, and even though i would be too shy to pick those checkered nails or those freestyle bling ones, i won't deny i find them just striking!
Charm&co is in japanese as well, so i'm not sure i understood correctly but, seems like it is the blog of a beauty parlor or a spa... they show some nail arts from time to time, and i specially love those sunset colored nails, simple and charming, and those red, white and sparkly ones.

L'invention du siècle!
Heya,
un petit mot rapide pour partager ma dernière découverte chez Sephora, le Bain Dissolvant Express! C'est tellement con que ça paraît dingue que personne n'y ait pensé avant, et pourtant c'est la première fois que je vois ce produit.
Comment ça marche? Ce pot violet cache une mousse dense et moelleuse, toute imprégnée de dissolvant.
Au milieu de la mousse, il y a un trou. On enfonce le doigt dedans, on tourne retourne le doigt 2 secondes chrono et... tadam!! même les vernis les plus tenaces disparaissent. J'ai testé avec du rouge-noir, du à paillettes-qui-collent et c'est simplement trop rapide et efficace. Et le dissolvant Sephora laisse les mains parfumées, avec une vraie bonne odeur (ce qui m'a fait simplement halluciner).
7,90€, et je pense qu'on doit pouvoir sans problème le "réimbiber" avec un dissolvant classique en bouteille quand il commence à sécher un peu.
International readers, seems like this product is available only in French Sephora shops for the moment, couldn't find it on the US online store for instance... Too bad, because this little bottle, hiding a soft kind of foam rubber with a hole in its middle, is just amazing! Put each finger in that hole, swish around, and say goodbye to any old nail polish. So so quick and efficient even with the baddest polishes i've got, like black cherry or glittery ones, and your fingers actually smell good after!
